So, I've decided to put my Sir Dufius comic on hiatus for the time being, because I'm currently working on a
Sir Dufius animated short. Right now I'm in the process of writing the script and storyboarding it. I'm about a good two-thirds of the way through the script, but I have a ways to go in the storyboarding department. What I plan to do is to get an animatic of the first scene done (since the only two characters talking are one's that I can voice) so I can have something to show for, and post it on
Fanbuilt, a budding virtual animation studio (found here -->
[link] ), and see if I can get anyone to help me with it.
I'm not giving up on the comic, though. I had the idea of possibly having both an animated series and a run of comics. The animated series would be silly stand alone stories and the comics would have a mock-epic story arch. Pretty much utilizing each medium's strengths in favor of the stories. If there's something that's just not feasible to do animated, I could do it as a comic, and if something would work better animated, then I'd go with that option. But before I start the comic, I want to get this animated short produced.
So, as of now, I'm not looking for comic help right off, but I will be needing help for the animated short (obviously). I still haven't organized all the specific tasks to be done just yet, but if you're interested in helping in some way, let me know either via a note or a comment. When I do get everything organized and when I finish this first scene animatic, I'll post it up on Fanbuilt (as well as probably mention it here, too).
I can't animate myself, but I hope that you will find a suitable person who wants to help you with this project. Best of luck!
